Safety Information for Nasal Irrigation
Ensure safe and effective nasal irrigation with these important safety guidelines:
WARNING:
- Blocked Nasal Passage: Do not rinse if your nasal passage is completely blocked or if you have an ear infection or blocked ears.
- Ear Surgery: If you’ve had ear surgery, consult your physician before irrigation.
- Pressure in Ears: Stop rinsing if you experience pressure in the ears and consult a physician.
- Water Temperature: Use lukewarm water only; do not use hot or boiling water.
- Cleaning Procedures: Follow the cleaning procedures provided in the brochure.
- Bedtime Rinse: Rinse one hour prior to bedtime to avoid solution dripping in the throat.
- Use on Children: Use caution and consult a doctor before using on children or adults with reduced comprehension.
- Patient Mobility: Patients unable to stand or bend near the sink should not use this product.
- Bed-Bound Patients: Do not use on bed-bound or severely debilitated patients.
- Children Usage: Use only on children above five years of age; consult a physician for younger children.
- Plain Water Rinsing: Do not rinse with plain water to avoid severe burning sensation.
CAUTION:
- Rinsing with plain water may cause severe burning; always use the provided solution.
Indications:
- Recommended for relief from hay fever, nasal allergies, sinus pressure, flu, common cold, catarrh, post-nasal drip, chronic sinus disease, rhinitis, sinonasal symptoms, nasal irritation from various sources, and cleansing prior to nasal corticosteroid use.
- Extensively used by ENT surgeons for post-sinus surgery care.
Ingredients:
- Pharmaceutical-grade sodium bicarbonate and sodium chloride.
Directions for Use:
- Wash hands thoroughly.
- Fill the clean bottle with warm distilled or boiled water up to the fill line.
- Cut the SINUS RINSE™ mixture packet and pour contents into the bottle.
- Securely tighten the cap and tube, then shake gently to dissolve the mixture.
- Stand in front of a sink, tilt head down, and insert the cap into one nostril.
- Gently squeeze the bottle until the solution drains from the opposite nostril or mouth.
- Blow nose gently after each nostril rinse.
